Hi Part Ds,
A year of taking the unit is coming to a close soon
and seldom do I have the opportunity to gather the entire part for a talk.
Initially I planned to gather you guys for a short talk after tomorrow’s
activity but due to some school events, I am unable to attend tomorrow’s
activity so I shall leave my message here…
First of all, congratulations for doing a remarkable
job in taking the unit and ensure its smooth running for the past year! All of
you deserve credit for the various achievements of the unit. I’m sure all the
seniors and teachers will be very proud of these amazing achievements!
Regardless of post or rank, your contribution in various ways has indeed made a
difference in the shaping of the NCCHMS of today.
For the past year I’m certain that all of you would
have learnt some important life lessons like how to communicate effectively, be
a better team player and to accept the opinion of others. I’m sure that this
one year has been a rare opportunity for some self-discovery. I’m also very
glad to observe that for the past one year your part has made much progress
from having some small initial cork-ups to steadily improving to become an
effective and reliable team of leaders.
However, in any journey there would definitely be ups
and downs. In the process of taking the unit in various positions you guys
might have unavoidably experienced some conflicts in terms of differences in
perspectives and in the process developed some negative feelings. However I’m
sure that most of these feelings and emotions are mostly developed with the
fundamental interest of the unit at heart. As such, I urge all of you to forget
these negative feelings and continue to maintain the friendships and
brotherhood that were forged all these years as later in life. Trust me, as you
guys move on and part ways, most of you will surely miss this bitter-sweet four
years! So, continue to stay in touch and be brothers’ even after graduating!
Come back to help/visit the unit and school occasionally!
It’s really been a pleasure working with you guys and
seeing you guys through this one year though I might not have the chance of
working with some of you guys closely and know you guys better. Hope all of you
will remember this last moment as a cadet and cherish the friendships forged
during this journey forever! I also urge all that wish to continue to
contribute to the unit to sign up as Cadet Officers or Associate Members!
Lastly, I wish you guys all the best for the coming O' Levels and all your
future endeavors!
Look forward to POP 2013 and once again, GREAT JOB
PART DELTA 2013!
Cheers.
